HANGING CHRISTMAS LIGHTS WITHOUT PULLING YOUR HAIR OUT!
It’s that time of year again for hanging Christmas lights. You want some tips on how to get through this holiday season putting up your lights without pulling out your hair? I have five important rules to hanging Christmas Lights and not ending the season bald!

Rule #1: Do not end up in the emergency room in the interest of holiday spirit. Getting on top of a roof is never at the top of the list of safe activities, but especially not in the winter… snow, ice, wind, slick roofs, tall ladders, dark evenings, and tangle lights… make sure to follow all the rules below to stay safe.

Rule #2: Put the lights up when it’s nice and light outside. Not only is it easier and more comfortable to work outdoors in mild weather, but it is also safer.

Rule #3: Untangling the Christmas lights before getting on the ladder. It’s such a tedious chore and one you may avoid by just buying new lights if you’re like most people.

Rule #4: Always plug in your Christmas lights and check them before hanging. Pull them out of storage and check them to make sure they’re functional. This way you will have plenty of time to make repairs and a shopping list for replacements and other supplies.

Rule #5: Accept the death of your light strand with grace. Once you’ve checked all your lights and you’ve made sure everything is working appropriately, you have to accept that something will fail you. Even though you did everything right; Even though you checked every bulb; Even though you carefully devised your extension cord map so all plugs met peacefully in a hidden corner. You have to accept failure – lights go dead for no reason at all.

Rule #6: You can always just hire a company to install your lights professionally and save all the stress and pain associated with Christmas Light Installation.
